- Hello and welcome to 7th grade English Language Arts (ELA.) I am excited to have your child in my class this year! I hope to foster a love of reading and writing within your child that will last a life-time. I will encourage your child to read and write every day. Independent reading will be one of our daily routines. Please talk to your child about what s/he is reading. Also, I will be asking ALL students to participate in the "The Reading Minute" activity. This is an opportunity to share our love for literature with each other.
Current assignments will be listed on the top. Items in green are links to click on and open.
Every student should have a silent reading book for class. Please refer to the syllabus for a detailed supply list.
Daily Routines include; journal writing, silent reading, character notebook, vocabulary work, and grammar work.
